SAUNA
+ COLD PLUNGE

  • Contrast therapy, also known as contrast water therapy or contrast bath therapy, is an ancient recovery technique of alternating between hot and cold temperatures. The history of contrast therapy dates all the way back to ancient civilizations such as Greece and Rome, where hot and cold baths were used to treat various health conditions. In the 19th century, contrast therapy was developed as a modern therapeutic method, and it was widely used in hydrotherapy treatments.

    • Reduces fatigue 

    • Decreases muscle soreness

    • Removes excess lactic acid

    • Decreases swelling 

    • Wear comfortable clothes

    • Hydrate well in advance

    • Do not use deodorant, lotions, makeup, soap, or perfume before sauna session.

    • Please sit on a towel during your sauna. (required) 

    DURING YOUR SAUNA:

    • You are encouraged to relax and unwind. Meditate.  Listen to music.  Do not go to sleep.

    • Bring swimsuit, shorts & tank top.

    • Bring water to drink during your sauna.

     

    AFTER YOUR SESSION:

    • Continue to hydrate

    • Avoid soft drinks, sugar drinks

    • Rinse skin when you are finished... using cool to warm water, not hot water. 

  • Many individuals can benefit from the Infrared Sauna.

    However ... 

    You should not use our sauna if:

    • You are under 18 years old.

    • You've used or abused alcohol or drugs within the last 24 hours.  It is not advisable to "sweat out" a hangover.  

    • You're menstruating.

    • You have a sensitivity to heat or cannot sweat.

    • You have a fever.

    • You have a recent acute joint injury (avoid sauna for 48 hours).

    • You have Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors, or Diabetes with Neuropathy.  These conditions are associated with impaired sweating.

    • You are a hemophiliac or prone to bleeding.  

    • You use prescription drugs such as diuretics, barbiturates and beta-blockers, which may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms. Some over the counter drugs such as antihistamines may also cause the body to be more prone to heat stroke.

    You should consult your personal physician before you use our sauna if: 

    • You are pregnant.

    • You are over the age of 70 as the ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age primarily due to circulatory conditions and sweat gland function. Your body must be able to activate its natural cooling processes in order to maintain core body temperature.

    • You have cardiovascular conditions or problems (hypertension / hypotension), congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation or those who are taking medications, which might affect blood pressure.

    • You have any implants such as metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants.

    • You have any implanted silicone or silicone prostheses (i.e. for nose or ear replacement), which may be warmed by the Far infrared waves.

RED
LIGHT THERAPY

  • With red light therapy, you expose your skin to a lamp, device, or laser with a red light. A part of your cells called mitochondria, sometimes called the “power generators” of your cells, soak it up and make more energy. Some experts think this helps cells repair themselves and become healthier. This spurs healing in skin and muscle tissue.

    Red light therapy uses very low levels of heat and doesn’t hurt or burn the skin. It’s not the same type of light used in tanning booths, and it doesn’t expose your skin to damaging UV rays.

    • Improve wound healing

  • DURING YOUR SESSION:

    During a red light therapy bed session, you can expect:

    • Comfortable Environment: You'll lie down on a comfortable bed.

    • Warmth: You may feel a gentle warmth emanating from the red light panels.

    • Relaxation: Like the amethyst Biomat, you'll likely experience a sense of relaxation and calmness during the session.

    • Red Light Exposure: The red light panels will emit specific wavelengths of light, typically in the red or near-infrared spectrum, which penetrate the skin.

    • No Pain: Red light therapy is non-invasive and painless, so you shouldn't experience any discomfort during the session.

    • Short Duration: Sessions typically last around 10-20 minutes.

     

    AFTER YOUR SESSION:

    • Depending on the purpose of the session, you may experience benefits such as improved skin health, reduced inflammation, enhanced wound healing, and increased production of collagen.

    • No Downtime: There's usually no downtime after a red light therapy session, so you can resume your normal activities immediately afterward.

    • Comfortable Setting: You'll be given pillows and bolsters and blankets for comfort along with a Jade or Amethyst cold mask allowing you to fully relax and unwind.

    AFTER YOUR SESSION:

    • Potential Benefits: Himalayan salt panel sessions are believed to have various potential benefits, including improved respiratory function, reduced allergy symptoms, enhanced relaxation, and stress relief.

AMETHYST
BIO MAT

  • The Biomat is an FDA licensed device that combines state-of-the-art Far Infrared light and Negative Ion technology with the healing power of Amethyst crystals.

    The mat itself has similar benefits to an infrared sauna (but can be way more relaxing and less sweaty!) and is made of 15 layers of high quality materials, including 30 pounds of amethyst in the mat the client lies on.

    The re-energizing crystal mat can be helpful for many people who wish to experience the harmonious energy of life. It complements active lifestyles and supports overall well-being.
